Directions from M6 Penrith junction 40: A66 to Keswick (16miles), ignore first junction into Keswick, cross over the Greta gorge bridge (dual carriage way) and take second junction into Keswick (large roundabout, first exit left) following signs to Borrowdale (A5271). Once you get to the T junction, take a left into Keswick, then at the first roundabout (mini)
take a right turn onto B5289 up the Borrowdale valley to Grange village (4 miles). Cross the bridge (right turn off B5289) and take the first left after Grange Bridge Cafe where there's a red post box. Don't go past the village green as that's too far. The cottage is at the bottom of the short lane on the right with a blue gate. Park on the right outside the gate or in front of the garage.
The cottage is visible when you cross the bridge, the one up stream (south) with the two large fir trees in the garden next to the river.
